The El-Hazard Saturn game uses various original drawn backgrounds for the base, and then occasionally layers character images on top of them if they are important to the current dialog. Typically a dialog box fills out the lower part of the screen, either with spoken lines, some mild unspoken narrative, or a menu of where to go from your current position. This section contains only mostly the background images, occasionally with character layers.
