Don't you wish you could play in El-Hazard? No, I mean REALLY play in El-Hazard. Well, physically, it's still an impossibility. But your imagination can still take you. Why not get a bunch of your friends to join you?

Think of RPG's as a grown up version of 'make-believe.' Players take roles and pretend they are interacting in a world, envisioned in their minds. Now, one of those players guide where everyone else's imaginations go, telling a story in which the others must interact. That player is the Game Master (GM.) Finally, players have a set of rules they obey and written records of who they are playing.

That is over-simplifying, but RPGing is really fun. There are lots of anime RPG's now, and El-Hazard finally got one in the year 2001. The book was produced by a small Canada-based company called Guardians of Order that unfortunately went bankrupt in 2006.

Jason Bertovich wrote a review of the El-Hazard RPG for RPG.net, a gaming website with lots of information, reviews, and articles about RPG's.
