Naw, none of us like anime. All us bitter, crotchety ol' geezers just hang around to make sure that you young'uns love anime the RIGHT way. None of this prime-time TV crap, or those newfangled "quality dubs" those upstart companies keep churning out. No, if you aren't watching sixth-generation copies of fansubs (or, better yet, sixth-generation copies of RAW anime) you just ain't watching it RIGHT! The way we did in the good ol' days, before the industry RUINED anime by making it a widely available quality product! What, do they expect us to PAY for our anime, or something? Don't they realize that we have a God-given RIGHT to have free anime?? What is the world coming to!?

Okay, I admit it. None of that is true. (Though I HAVE heard variations of the above "argument" from certain die-hard old-guarde fans... ) Yes, as you've guessed, we may be old, but we still like anime. So how about you? Can YOU go the distance? Is this just a fad you're going through, or do you think you'll still be watching cartoons when you're thirty?

Hmm.  I ask myself this question all the time.  But I must admit, of all fandoms I've ever filtered through, this one has cost me the most money.  I mean, I never expected to come anywhere near the Unverified PayPal limit of $2,000 ... but I'm down to $700 left.  And we haven't even noted my credit-based purchases.  

So basically... I BETTER KEEP LIKING IT.
