Non-El-Hazard Topical Discussions / Re: jobs
« on: October 14, 2004, 01:40:07 am »
I work in customer service for a grocery store. I get to handle people that are already upset about something and try my best to make them happy again but there are some people you just can't please no matter what you do. I usually just let it go in one ear and out the other. if not, then I'll just go in back and kick around some cardboard boxes. just to make some tension release. sometimes though I don't think I make enough to deal with some of the people I have dealt with before. one such horror story goes as this:

I had this one guy come in all the time and when he came up to the service desk counter this is our conversation:

me: yes, sir, how can I help you?
guy: when do you get off today?
me: not til much later, sir, so what can I do for you?
guy: you can come over to my house and clean
me: I'm sorry?
guy: "name of company" pays you to help the customer, so you should come to my house and clean
me: *narrows eyes* sir, I don't get paid to clean customer's houses
guy: yes you do
me: no, sir, I don't. now is there anything else I can do to help you?
guy: you just be ready later, when you get off, I'm coming to pick you up to take you home so you can get started
me: yeah, okay, have a nice day

that irritated me really badly because it seemed to me that he disrespected women so badly so he felt it his need to come harrass me daily on that kinda thing. and that's not the worst guy I get either.

off topic, but ooohhh, Marx bros movies? I love those guys! hehe, animal crackers was just great.

Woman: but that's bigotry!
Capt Spalding: yeah I think that's big of me too but who cares for that one woman for one man stuff. that's the type of stuff your grandmother and your grandfather did. but who wants to marry your grandmother? nobody. not even your grandfather.

*laughs* that was great. I know I didn't quote it exactly but I don't care. that was hilarious. hehehe

El-Hazard Online / Re: Boxset ... for $1
« on: October 14, 2004, 01:08:08 am »
I know I'm late on this but sue me, anyways, maybe its being auctioned off by someone's jealous b/f g/f that can't stand that their significant other talks all about el hazard and wants to do something crazy so they go on ebay and sell off the entire box set for a dollar just to get back at that person. lol, I know, that's a silly thing but I have seen worse ^^

I am kinda late to this thread so I have no cotton picking idea what it was auctioning but I wouldn't be surprised no matter what it was because I once went on there and saw someone auctioning off an ass kicking. he said it clearly that the winner was responsible for his air fare, bus fare, gas, whatever he needed to get to the winner's house and deliver his goods. he also said that it would cost extra if there was somebody else was in the house that would get in the way of him delivering his "winnings" I thought it was kinda amusing. lol

I find this site pretty humorous at least in my eyes. especially the part where it says Jesus panhandling.

Non-El-Hazard Topical Discussions / Video Games
« on: October 13, 2004, 03:32:45 pm »
I loves them. they are most of my life. my precious video games. lately I've been hooked on alot of nippon ichi games like disgaea, la pucelle, rhapsody, and the newest one, phantom brave. I just can't get enough. I want to unlock everything in these things. I finally got the goddess ring in la pucelle and I have the angel shoes so I pretty much kick butt and take names in that game. when I'm not watching anime or at the arcade playing ddr and initial d, I'm at home playing video games while I chat. yep yep, I'm an A-1 geek, but that's okay. I got told once that I am too old to play video games. I just gave the guy a really odd look and said, "Um...you know I know alot of people that would skin you alive if they had heard you tell me that" *grins* I guess that's why I like playing Ifurita so much. I can so see her using that key staff as a game controller and kick the tar out of bugrom on the console. mwahahaha. eat my dust, bugs! hehe ^^

I haven't played the game but everyone I know plays it and they are always away from the keyboard and ignore me so I kinda hate it. but at the same time if I do ever play it, I'll probably get hooked on it too. so its a double edged sword. unfortunately my computer sucks really bad and no matter how many times I strike it with my key staff, it just gives me the finger. it needs an upgrade bad ^^

Non-El-Hazard Topical Discussions / Re: age
« on: October 13, 2004, 03:03:56 pm »
I'm 22 and I turned it on the 22nd of June. hehe, I had fun going around telling people, I turn 22 on 22! lol. I'm a bit hyper for my age and I get mistaken for anywhere from 16-18 and even had a half an hour argument with some 15 year old because he just would not believe me when I told him I was 22. I showed him my id and he was all staring at it saying, "that's not you" *shrugs* ah well, I really don't mind, it will help out when I get older and if I am single to hook me a younger guy. J/K!! lol, hehe, I like to be silly

El-Hazard Online / Dub Jinnai or Sub Jinnai?
« on: October 13, 2004, 02:53:12 pm »
I got to thinking and I was wondering which laugh did you like better, my Master's laugh in dubbed or my Master's laugh in subbed?

to me, it doesn't matter if its done by a japanese man or an american, they both send shivers down my spine and would cause me to jump a mile high if I heard it in a dark alley on a quiet deserted night.

I do think that the dubbed laugh though has a more maniacal feel to it. *shrugs*

either way, it still chills me to the bone.

psst! but don't tell Master I said so because he'd punish me good and I don't have the strength for his punishments. it isn't fair that I'm ticklish everywhere!

Non-El-Hazard Topical Discussions / El Hazard in the Workplace
« on: October 10, 2004, 07:07:56 am »
I work in the lovely world of retail. I, Ifurita, do my part and serve the customer's needs in customer service. I think sometimes I spot people in the store that remind me personality wise or physically wise of el hazard characters. I have seen someone who resembled my Master. it was way cool. I wanted to take a picture but I had no camera unfortunately. I have had a few others including someone who to me made a very good argument with me on the concept of our cereal sale reminding me alot of Nanami. Scary....@_@

TV Jinnai, because I loved it when he picked up Ifurita and carried her out even though she was very very heavy, hehe. and he told her she did a good job. oooohhhh, compliment! *beams* I love my Master. He's all evil and stuff!

ish okies, I'm sure I'll find somebody. I just felt so alone this year when I cosplayed Ifurita and didn't have a Jinnai around with me. it was like popcorn without butter, tortilla chips without salsa. hmm...I wonder if I would be the popcorn or the butter. hmmm, interesting thought indeed. hehe, I love the thought of popping in the microwave though. POP! POP! hehehe
