El-Hazard Online / Re: El-Hazard RPG and RB El Haz 2 Supplement? Exis
« on: January 25, 2005, 04:23:35 pm »
Well, having not seen the book I can only make wild guesses based on my knowledge of the characters.

Kalia I would expect to be simliar in power level to Ifurita, possibly a little more powerful, with different abilities.

Desert Ifurita I would see no reason not to be identical to the "regular" Ifurita, since they are the same model. If you wanted to be particular you could make her have fewer combat abilities and/or slightly weaker as she was not used for combat after she was woken by Yuba, unlike "regular" Ifurta, which fought the priestesses after Jinnai woke her up.

The Trigger of Distruction is difficult, since it's supposedly able to destroy the entire universe. Since no other capabilities were shown in the anime (that I know of) it would make sense that it would basically be a large, heavily armored mecha with a single one-shot attack that destroys the universe (with a large charge up time of course). And I would guess that that kind of attack would pretty much end any El-Hazard game ;D I don't remember if it needed Kalia to fire it or not... been too long since I've seen El-Hazard 2.

Yuba would be pretty close to Makoto, since he seems to have the same ability. He might be considered more "powerful" since he's had more time to work with and hone his ability.

That's the best I can think of right now without the book in hand. Hope that helps a little bit!

Are you referring to the El-Hazard RPG book published by Guardians of Order? If so, you can still buy it in their rarities store (It's about 2/3 of the way down the page). As to what it contains... I have no idea. I bought the book recently from them and am waiting for it to ship ;D If it's like their other licensed anime books, it will basically be an RPG setting with specific rules for that series, and a lot of info about various characters, factions, and settings of the series. Usually you need a core RPG rule book to go with it though. (And judging by the age of the book, I'm guessing it will be using the Tri-Stat dX system, not the d20 system)

Oh, and welcome to the forums!

Episode 3 is fansubbed now. I like how they are following the manga for how Belldandy and Keiichi get the temple instead of them just finding an old abandoned one like in the OVA. ;D

Oh, and if the mods let me, you can download the bittorrents from animesuki (They only list unlicensed anime and take down links to licensed anime as soon as it is licensed, so it should be alright to link to...)

2nd episode is fan-subbed by Solar.

This series is off to a slow start, they aren't even at the temple yet (that's the next episode). Going to be interesting to see if they take the OVA version (empty, run-down temple) or the manga version (monk living there who leaves).

I kinda like the slower pace. Helps establish the characters and their relationships better. Though I do hope that they speed up a bit. I don't want the first season to end on a cliff-hanger with Urd just showing up ;D

Well, I just wanted to see Mara and Hild animated. They do take up a couple of the story-arcs so it would be nice to see those story arcs show up in the anime.

Saw the first episode though, really nice animation and it was cool to see more of Keiichi before Belldandy shows up. Helps establish his character ;D

Personally, I hope that they bring the dub cast of the movie back for the dub of the TV Series. Or the dub cast of the OVA, I'm not too particular, but Sora, Peorth, and some other characters were dubbed in the movie and it would be odd to change them again. (Two seperate dub teams is bad enough)

Not that I hate subs mind you. I just prefer dubs if they are done well.

It starts over from the beginning of the OMG manga (so it tells the same stuff the OVA does) and will be putting much more stuff from the manga in. Mara, Hild, and the Ninjettes show up in the op, so I hope they show in the series... (the OVA op had characters that never showed in the OVA itself) The demons have been severely lacking in representation in the various OMG animes... (they don't show in the OVA or Movie. Mara only shows for one or two mini-goddess episodes as a chibi)

Well, the new Oh! My Goddess TV series started airing last night in Japan (or something like that, time differences are confusing). So fan-subs should show up soon!

*bounces off walls in happiness* ^_^V

Actually, I think I worded it wrong. It should be "watches only Hentai in his free time" as in it's all he watches instead of "watches Hentai only in his free time" which kinda implies it's only during his free time...

Seems to me that if they modified KFC's menu to be regional, they couldn't call it KFC anymore. It would have to be something like "Kentucky Fried Octopus Balls" and that just doesn't roll off the tounge as well :P

Just so you know, giving out licensed anime to people over the internet is illegal. You're free to rip the stuff for yourself (so you can watch without the DVDs) as a backup, as long as you own the original. But giving it away is illegal. I would expect a deletion or lock pretty soon.
