Don't know if anyone's posted this link before, but it was mentioned on the Ayeka Fan Club bulletin board:
https://secure.pmoon.co.jp/TOUSHINDAI/
Click on the fifth picture down, then on the subsequent page, scroll down to the 11th series of pictures.
Apparently it's life-size...

Whoa. Now _that_ is impressive. Out of curiosity, though, what exactly is it? I haven't configured my computer to read Japanese yet so most of the site's text appears as question marks. Are all of these life-sized replicas for sale?

*waits for Saucer* ^^;

In case this is of any use to anyone:
The title of that first page:
peepaa muun toushindai figyua hoomu peeji
Paper Moon Life-Sized Figures Home Page
The second page is: sanpuru gararii / Sample Gallery
The text to the right of the Ifurita pictures:
OVA [shinpi no sekai eruhazaado]
kara "ifuriita" ga rittai kesaremashita.
dou figyua ga geneon entateimento (kabu)
you no RONDO ROBE ibento you ni
seisaku saremashita (hibaihin)
OVA "El-Hazard The Magnificent World"
from "Ifurita" [subject] solid-body changed-into
the-same figure [subject] Geneon Entertainment (public-company)
such as RONDO ROBE event business [indirect-object]
works were-done (not-for-sale [sorry, guys])
Interesting how, in the gallery pictures near the bottom, they put my two favorites (Ryoko and Ifurita) next to each other. I hope they don't get in a fight.

Wow...... I'm not sure whether to be scared or have a nose bleed. Now I think I really have seen everything. The only thing that kinda puts me off is Ifurita's doll-like face. Otherwise it's kinda cool. I bet these things are hella expensive. There was an anime girl statue like this on the cover or Wired a couple years ago (I have that issue laying around). But I didn't know there was a sub-genre for this sort of a thing at the time. I just figured some modeler made her or it was a CG. ^^;

Those are awesome...
... ... ... I actually was gonna do a life-sized papier mache sculpture over the summer if I got bored ^_^;
... ... it was gonna be a SAMPLE of what you can DO in papier mache for my 3-D Design class next year!!! I SWEAR!!!!
Umm... anyhow, this somehow makes me feel less like a freak...
They need to make cute male sculptures too... (though I'd want the Iffy one if it was for sale ^^; )

oh that is just too cool. I got one thing to say to that. "That is so going to stand just inside my house near the front door to scare the daylights out of my friends when they come over" *already picturing them walking in and looking over causing them to jump a mile high in the air freaking out crying out, "WTF?!"
heheh, I love doing that

I just want to ask you people a favor: if I ever get to the point of actually buying something like that, please end my suffering and shoot me. Twice, just to make sure. -_-
Isn't it strange (or should I say "scary"?) that most of the dolls, even the ones that reproduce comical characters like Pretty Sammy, have "sad puppy eyes"? Makes one wonder what japanese fanboys (who afterall think sad eyes are "sexy") actually buy them for... :o
-
Am I the only one here that is TOTALLY freaked out by these things?
I keep having nightmares of them coming to life and killing their owners. Strangely enough, I also have the ones where they come to life and have SEX with their owners. Either way, it's CREEPY as hell.

Why can't I have nightmares about clowns like normal people?

heh, I don't know,Master. there are people out there that would get off to that kinda thing. I've had the *ahem* displeasure of running into those types at cons. they are quite scary. but its a con so you can usually just dart through here and sidestep there and you are away from them in the mass of people. ^^
Ifurita is very good at crowd surfing. ^^
