El-Hazard Online / Re: Favorite Makoto Moment
« on: July 24, 2003, 09:36:40 pm »
hmm, off from the tv, a favourite Makoto moment would be in EH Saturn game (thx, Rob), where Makoto acknowledged he's a loser ;D

waittaminute...just checking Spanner profile (u know why), so you're the creator of the I&I website...uh..
*bow deep in honor & admiration*
that's simply the best Ifurita related website: unique, creative, and very entertaining, gee where did you come up with all the dialogues and even matching caps??? during shower, lunch , or something??.
It also helps alot during my angsty times after finishing OVA 1, 2 and Wanderers. Great work...
Ahh, I can't say any more praises, the website's one of the inspiration for my fan art, so what do you think of the 2 pics posted in the site? ( I need to hear an input from you, master...*bow down again*)

Quote

Makoto was so dumb that he fell off the Bugrom hive's roof, plunking down fifty feet like a sack of sorry potatos and began rolling down the side.

ha, that's my favourite scene too!!
that smitten-I-will-save-you-princess Makoto need to learn some lesson.
I don't watch it twice a week of course, but it just feel good to see the wimp take a dive...buehehhahahaha

ok, that's kinda mean, 'n I'm no meany...I just sometime despise him a lot for not trying further to "save" Ifreeta from that horrible Jinnai. That flashback scene near the end kinda show regret/remorse in Makoto's face...o_O

El-Hazard Online / Re: EH Music Videos available online...
« on: July 16, 2003, 08:20:00 am »
I'm not sure this is a good one after watching a lot of EH music videos, but there's the one with title Rose (something) with Enya's Only Time soundtrack. It contains El Hazard OAV 1,2 and Cowboy Bebop

That's the music videos that drew me to know Ifurita's story (which consequenlty made me watch all EH episodes), so for me it's kinda special.

it's definitely great to see destruction scenes from both Ifurita OAV & Ifreeta Wanderers
The OAV has succesive destruction of one city after another, Wanderer only shows one (gigantic), but the execution is more "Su go i"!!

hmmm, now I recall seeing that full pics, I wonder if she's:

- trying hard too keep up with Jiinai's pace
- walking quietly, about to surprise him
- walking quietly, ready to knock him out cold

what do you think of the sad Ifreeta, Rob? I'd like to make it in color, but was afraid I'd spoil the expression

I just have to have it:
Ghibli archive

added to my collection

say you like Spirited Away & Mononoke?
I got introduced to Ghibli works from those, too. Once I saw the previous works, I was astounded by the simplicity yet so much meanings & relations ( at least to me)
Those works are the high points of animation (with right expression, music theme, and seiyuu tone, perhaps for even just a split second, you'd feel like watching a real actor movie or even being there in the scene yourself)

Rob (or any administrator)

In case you didn't get my email, can I submit a fan art/fic for you to post on the site?

The question is it's a combination of EH Wanderers and another animation feature; Kiki Delivery Service.

So, would you accept and post it???
It's absolutely G rating

fan art/fic: a picture with the character dialogue and a very short description with it.

ps: I really like those pic of moment thing when it doesn't stray "somewhere else". Somehow it's kinda original

:)..hum...since you seem to have the necessary expertise..
I'd dare to pay to have you convert the Tenchi Saturn game to PC version (provided video included)

Just finish the EH PC, really neat, did you add Lond's part in Makoto and Ifurita ending? also some of the dialogue are not similar to both the endings guide in this site and L. Duran? ???
eg. the last dialogue in Makoto's ending

Also you seem to have a very promising project here, well, however it turns out, I wish you all the best ;)

ps: I know how that "pull" feels like. Although EH OAV did move me to point of tears. My most affecting anime would be bebop. The only problem iwas it got me depressed instead...

since there seems to be an extensive source for info regarding the old astro boy era, I might as well ask a question here...

After watching metropolis, I'm puzzled since it's said that the movie was based on the astro boy manga

When I was 10..(around 89-90's) Astro/atomic boy comic was popular at my school. I recall reading my friends comic once and there it said the astro boy was based on the son of the professor who got hit by a car.
In metropolis however, the child robot is female (Tima)...so is there actually 2 manga or is the movie totally modified?

um...just curious, why do boy/girl dates even after all the bitterness???
to see it from a certain view, isn't the superficiality quite obvious from day one?? :-/

a friend of mine told me that "love" is one of the most empty word spoken, similar to that of "sorry"
so could one actually really take it seriously when the other say ILU ::)
well, I can go further to the definition of that "L" word as promise/commitment instead of feeling...but there goes my 2 cents

I can't be biased on this one since I've never been involved, somehow there's just always something else to pay more attention

my top irreplaceable anime series would be:

-Cowboy bebop ( excluding the movie!)
-Rurouni Kenshin OVA 4 episodes
-Tenchi Muyo OVA (this is my sole intro to anime more than just cartoon)

then there are those that stick with me:
-gundam wing, 0083, endless waltz
-EH OVA 1...sigh...OVA2, and Wanderers :D
-Azumanga daioh
-Love hina

As far as movies (order of emotional magnitude);
-Grave of fireflies :'(
-Jin Roh
-Metropolis
-Spirited Away
-Porco Rosso
