I found this article in this week's Kerrang! and was greeted with a lovely pic of Rei's (NGE) body with Courtney Love's head plastered on. *Retch* :-X

Courtney Love immortalised in manga
Courtney Love has joined forces with US manga publisher Tokyopop. The singer is working with the manga giants on a projects called "Princess Ai", a Shojo fantasy series.
"I have always loves the Japanese culture and the people," says Love, who recently inked a deal with Virgin "Princess Ai is a great character because she feels like my alter-ego, but in a fantsy setting. I'm very excited."
Apparently, Ai is a "smart talented woman who utilizes the public stage not onyl for self expression but also to hide from her assailants."
Rumours she's also a brassy gob***** have yet to be confirmed.

Here's how lame it really all is. Princess Ai; "ai" is Japanese for "love." Princess Ai = Courtney Love.

How conceited is that? And is this going to be a remake of "The Bodyguard" minus the bodyguard? Or Perfect Blue with fight scenes?

Princess Ai is admittedly not the most fitting of alter-ego names for anyone who climbs up on the MTV tower during an awards show and throws herself on the floor in front of Madonna. :P

I personally have this "thing" about people who get way more credit and attention (like major label contracts, but I guess that's an irony in itself) than I feel they deserve. Especially when they have very little interesting or original talent in the first place. They last in the limelight for their 15 seconds, then flail and struggle to maintain that spot in the sun by any means possible. Meanwhile, the people with real talent either never make it to the top, or so and want to get out (but can't). Life is so ironic isn't it?

Yeah, there's a lot of rumors floating about.
A lot of people actually think Courtney killed Kurt, because of various facts floating around.
Personally, I've not decided one way or the other, but I don't think Kurt Cobain would have liked to cause disagreements or ill feelings because of it, so his memory should just be laid to rest. :-/
Cobain being the person who told "All homophobes, racists and sexists, just leave us the f*** alone."

Well, it still happened, whether it was unintentional or not. But... I'm sorry if I was casting asparagus on anyone's favorite performer. I guess I shouldn't go off on musicians with notable drug habits, since one of my favorites is Syd Barrett.

Correct on the first one. There was also a really obscure house/dance group from the 80s called Nirvana. Only only know that, because I came across a 12" single from them in the studio at my broadcasting class at CSM. ^^;
