Another one I have handy is Nanami. I find Nanami's sprite less terrifying, for whatever reason. But I'm not sure if she's dancing, or if she has to go to the bathroom really badly

Okay, who of you have seen Evangelion? (TV + EoE)
I just finished watching it completely (after over 3 years of trying to get my hands on a copy) and it was so twisted, I had to re-run Chobits just to recover from the psychological anguish. This brings to mind my best anime marathon so far: Friday night: Second and third Tenchi movies (first viewing) Saturday: Neon Genesis Evangelion 1-26 (first viewing) Sunday: El-Hazard OVA1 + OVA2 + Alt World My last marathon to date, in January, was the Wanderers 1-26 + Golden Boy 1-6 in one day. I love marathon'ing anime DVDs. Don't know when I'll get to do it again, though. Too darn busy on the weekends these days. I haven't seen EoE yet. I heard there were a lot of defective disks in the initial release. I guess they've got that sorted out by now, though.

1) I don't care about Sports I kinda like listening to St. Louis baseball on the radio. Any and all other sports are of no interest to me. 2) Common namebrand clothing is a "bleh" I get all my clothing at either K-Mart or the goodwill stores-- you can get perfectly good clothes cheap there. 3) Collecting El-Hazard, Creating El-Hazard... EL-HAZARD. You're the man, with this site. But, as for me, the fan fiction guy-- one complete serial, one serial in progress, at least two more serials on the drawing board, plus about two dozen short stories and several dozen drabbles... In just under a year. Uh, yeah. Mmm hmm. That just ain't right. 4) I have an entire in-house network and a personal webserver... wait, looks like I'm just a geek. You've probably got me beat there, too. But I have my own domain, echoalpha.com, and I've posted my genealogy research there, and I've hand-coded every single page in Notepad. Yup. All 1200+ pages.

Harimao's treasure is good. I'm guessing you've seen Miyazaki's episodes of the TV series (and if not... WHY?) If you haven't seen them I would recommend Twillight Gemini (probably my favorite in the series, after Cagliostro) and Secret of Mamo. I was considering picking up Twilight Gemini. Thanks for the recommendation. I've seen Cagliostro-- which was excellent-- and Mamo-- which was... good, but, uh, seriously weird, and not entirely in a good way. Kinda creepy, actually

Should it be where the users (you guys) can opt to submit an image out of the screenshot collections (like select series/episode/image #), or leave this up to admins to still be the posters... and then, how often/many should we be putting up? Random or pre-chosen images are fine with me. Keeps things more interesting, I think. No need to flood new images, as long as old images remain open. Maybe two or three new ones a week? I can't visit this board over weekends, myself. Will the old ones stay up indefinitely? Could you add a permanent link to the latest image, maybe from the section drop-down list? Might be easier than tracking down this thread every time, assuming you keep this thing going. And, this is really really picky, but can you make it use the "display" name instead of the username? So that it shows "MrWhat" rather than "mrwhat," for example. Thanks. This is fun. I hope more people join in.

In BTTF3, Doc Brown's grave was only found because of the dog. Otherwise Marty and 1955 Doc would've gone home and never even knew about it. Dude. That's most impressive.  (You need to add a smiley with its jaw falling open.) Did you happen to have that picture on hand, or did you just go and capture that image for this post?

I always assumed that El Hazard and Earth were two separate planets, and Creteria was El Hazard at some other point in time (past or future). But, it is interesting to think they they could all be the same place, at the same time in different dimensions (if you subscribe to the theory of an infinite number of different dimensions existing side by side at all times). If the latter were true though, why does the Eye of God exist on El Hazard and Creteria, but not Earth? Well, like I said before-- El-Hazard and Creteria could be "closer" in the multi-dimensional universe, than either of them are to Earth. Their proximity would make them more similar to each other, and their distance from Earth would make both of them more different from Earth. You could argue that it took more power (from Ifurita) to send Makoto from Earth to EH, and it took him longer to travel between dimensions (with the whole flash-forward sequence and all the celestial imagery). To get from EH to Creteria, all it took was a little nudge from Arjah, a flash of light from Makoto's circuit thingy, a quick slide against a plain-white background, and there they were. Suggesting that EH and Creteria are "closer." OK, I'm just completely making this up. Creteria seems to be a future El-Hazard, if for no other reason than the title of the second episode is "The Door To The Future Opens." But there's too many little things about Creteria that make more sense to me as an alternate history than a future history. And, as unsubtle as The Alt World series generally was, if Creteria was the future of El-Hazard, the gang probably would have found their own graves, or something. EDIT: For clarity, I hope.

One possible problem. Kalia's tomb and desert-Ifurita's oasis are at opposite corners of the known world. Could Jinnai and Kalia have traveled that far in OVA2? After I posted that, I thought of the obvious work-around, which is-- Kalia flew most of the distance to the oasis, carrying Jinnai. So, never mind Have I overused the smiley yet?

Nope... actually, she plays a little character with a sad history. Basically a flawed computer technology design who's final fate was to be "formatted and started over". She talks in third person, "crashes" easy, but wants more than anything for a proper "administrator" to "debug" her. Oh... poor lil' Ifurita  I've got a TV-Ifurita angst story on my fan fiction idea pile. I think, in a few ways, her situation is even more angst-laden than OVA-Ifurita's situation.

While I'm posting up a storm... nothing wrong with that "hey-HEY" The come-hither bed-and-blanket pose is a bit much, but I've always liked Miz better with her hair down. I don't know where that graphic originally came from, but I'm pretty sure that that version of it, with "Miz" printed on it, is from a bootleg T-shirt. But you probably already knew that.

We're talking about concepts of EH. Not that it matters, since I never emphasized the point-- but I always assumed that Earth, El-Hazard and Creteria were the same planet, or very nearly the same planet, in three alternate universes. Earth and El-Hazard would be widely separated, by whatever it is that separates dimensions, since the two worlds are so different. But El-Hazard and Creteria could be much more closely related. Creteria could literally be an alternate El-Hazard.
