New El-Hazard DVDs from Geneon

I saw this via Animenation.com
Apparently Geneon is selling (quite! ) cheaper Region 1 NTSC DVDs of the OVAs.
This is good news for those people that didn't get (or afford   ) the OVA special edition box.
For what I can tell OVA1 comes in 2 volumes and OVA2 in one volume (just like the OVA special edition box). However it seems that they are sold separately only (they may release a bundle...?).

The Geneon's official page for the 1st vol. of OVA1 doesn't describe any special features..., apart from the 5.1 Japanese audio.  :-/

Geneon's official page for the 2nd vol. of OVA1 says that this DVD will have the following extra features:

• Line Art
  
• Non-Credit Opening & Ending
  
• DVD Credits

It's not much, but... better than nothing

I didn't find a picture of the OVA2 DVD, but here are the others:


As you can see, no big difference on the covers (same usual Hanken Cels used in a different disposition).
However I'd like to see if the OVA2 cover surprises me, like the one found by Nepotism Chainsaw   (there aren't many Hanken Cels from OVA2 around).

 |D Oh yeah. I was ready to break out the champagne (if I had any) when I saw it on Amazon, and now I'm counting down the days till it gets here. I actually haven't seen it in years. Someone absconded with my VHS copies a long time ago, and that absurdly priced box set was never in the budget. I'm planning an all-day El Hazard party when the second volume comes out!

A small update. Animenation is selling the OVA 2 DVD, but they don't have a pic of it nor many details:

Funny enough, if you go to their El-Hazard DVDs page, they are not selling the OVA1 vol. 1, i.e. they have only the OVA1 vol. 2 and OVA2 DVDs (and Geneon hasn't announced the OVA2 DVD yet).  
Forget what I said above.   On the OVA 2 DVD Page says:

Currently available for pre-order.
Release Date: September 25, 2007

At least we now know a release date.

After owning the OVAs on VHS for god knows how long, I finally bought the first OVA discs this week.
As far as I can tell, it has the same easter eggs as those reported in the original box set release. Maybe they are the same discs?

Nearest I can tell the discs are the same as the original box set ones. But Im not 100% sure

I haven't seen the cover for OAV2, but Ill get it once its released. My old VHS are getting worn out  

And I never did launch a site. I was too lazy lol. Though I have taken up writing a fanfic. Its on fanfiction.net if you want to read, only got a chapter done so far.

Well, all 3 DVD are now for sale!

The cover seems... to have a pretty standard design.... and NO new Hanken Cels!!
