The Adventure Begins Episode 1: Drawn Into the Land of Adventures One quiet autumn day, the Shinonome high-school students are busy preparing for their school festival. Mr. Fujisawa, a hard core rock climbing fanatic is inspecting the school grounds; the business savvy and Nanami is selling box lunches; Jinnai and the president of the school council is caught up in an unscrupulous scandal; and finally Makoto is completely immersed in inventing a device about which he hasn't got a clue. This incident occurs when this peaceful day is almost over. Jinnai who's just insulted Makoto, has caused his invention to operate recklessly. The machine roars and throws Makoto and the others into another world. What will Makoto, Jinnai, Mr. Fujisawa, and Nanami destinies be in this magnificent world?

Episode 2: Exploring the Kingdom of Mystery Makoto whos been thrown into another world, comes upon Mr. Fujisawa who has landed nearby. The two are bewildered because they have no sense of place or time. However, theyre invited to the royal palace by a girl they've rescued from the Bugrom insect Tribe. She is Rune Venus, the Princess of the Roshtoria Kingdom. They are treated as guests until Mr. Fujisawa begins to display unusual powers that arouse suspicion. As the night wears slowly away in this new world, theyre unable to figure out how to return to their former world.

What we've learned:

* The Spring Festival is happening in Autumn

* Fujisawa is some random rock climber who wanders the school grounds

* "the business savvy" AND Nanami are working together to sell box lunches

* Jinnai AND "the president of the school council" are both caught up in a scandal

* Makoto's just throwing stuff together to create some invention that he hasn't got a clue about

* Jinnai insults Makoto! *gasp*

* Makoto's machine, while normally calm, decides to operate recklessly

* [Makoto and Fujisawa] "are bewildered because they have no sense of place or time."  (Wow, that has to suck)

Forget El Hazard, Shinonome, Japan is just plain whacky to begin with!

To be fair... Makoto did just pretty much throw stuff together to create some invention that he didn't have a clue about.  ^_^

Well, I watched Wanderers... a lot... and he was basing it on a "Space-Time Theory" he read about.  It wasn't very random in the show, he was building it from someone else's idea.

Episode 3-6
A great priestesses appears who has the power to help Makoto and his friends return home!

Wow!  And who is this dimension controlling priestess(es)?!


Meanwhile, Jinnai is getting friendly with Diva the Queen of the insect tribe who wants to conquer El Hazard.

Woo baby.


Reunion of Destiny

Episode 7: A Golden Opportunity
In another world, Nanami, who has strayed from everyone, found part-time jobs.

Apparently Nanami didn't make it to El-Hazard and just landed on some other world...


Episode 9: House of Thieves!
Makoto and his group were reunited with Nanami and they temporarily stayed at the royal palace. Meanwhile, an incident occurs where all the town's vegetables disappear. It's obvious that Jinnai and the Bugrom are behind it, but there is no trace of evidence. Makoto who begins to doubt himself makes an effort to solve the crime.

Despite the fact he doubts himself.  


Episode 10: The Jungle Beast!
On their way back from a historical ruins search, Makoto and his friends pass through a village. For some reason they must exterminate a monster that attacks the village.

Plot hole?


Makoto enters the jungle and meets a wild, cat like creature. He names it Ura, and together they try to create a strategy to defeat the monster, but...

I never knew Makoto and Ura had strategic planning sessions.

Episode 14: The Legendary Snow Fields!
It's a snow trip worth seeing!

I'm kind of on a trip right now.


People say there is a legendary snow which occurs every several hundred years.

Give or take a hundred years.


Makoto and his group join the investigation team to prove the existence of the legendary snow.

Now, I haven't seen this episode in a while, but firstly, I don't remember any "investigation team" other then Makoto's group... and I also don't think Mr. Science Makoto was really out to PROVE the snow existed.  


The Rescue

Episode 19: Hive of Darkness!
What does Rune, captured by the Bugrom troops, see?!

Presumably whatever's within line of sight.  Or maybe that darkness.


Episode 20: Jinnai: Sister vs. Brother!
Even though Nanami is a prisoner, she seems to get along with the Bugroms because of her personality.

Never mind the fact she can talk to them.


Episode 21: A Love in Peril!
Makoto and his group had toward the Bugrom territory to rescue Rune and Nanami. But, along the way, they must cross the sanctuary known as the Saint river. Makoto and his group trudge through this frightening trail and face one ordeal after another. Which way will the maiden's heart swing during the battle!?

Wait, who's heart, which way?


Episode 22: A Death-Defying Rescue!
... while Jinnai and Makoto begin their personal combat for Rune.

This comes out a bit different then I think it's meant to.  


The Final Adventures

Episode 24: Destiny!
Jinnai is enraged by Rune's escape. He finally begins the attack on Roshtoria using his final option: "The Eye of God"! Natural disasters strike one after another from the uncontrollable "God's Eye".

So much for that plan.


Episode 26: The Eternal Dream!
Because of Makoto's actions, the destruction of the Eye of God has finally ceased and El Hazard is safe.

Again, it's been a while, but... I don't remember it being "destroyed".


However, Makoto is blown away to a distant dimension as a result from a big blast of energy. Time passes slowly and peace returns to El Hazard, but Makoto. . .

... was blasted away to a distant dimension.  Duh.
