El-Hazard Online is finally becoming so big that I've begun moving it to a professional, paid host HasWeb over the past few months.  Thid should provide more reliable, higher performance browsing (at least for broadbanders).  It currently has a copy of all current data files up until mid-December or so.  I'd like all of you to check it out at some point.  Log in and browse random files like screenshots/etc.  Alert me of any missing files, permission denied, or 500 type errors.  The forum is the only thing I know of that is deliberately not currently configured properly.  :P

Eventually the plan is to move all of us over there permanently (using this current domain name of el-hazardonline.net when we get there).  Then my personal server will be converted into something more lightweight, such as continuing to serve our avatars, my sister's little site, and other things like that.  It's also good for us internal folk to use as a file transfer base.

FYI, I'll probably be getting a free mapper domain though like bob.noip.com or something to that effect.  I might set up a few mini-sites of my own on some various topics I know some things about...

I quickly went through several sections and everything seems to be in order. Except for the forum data which only goes back to October 24, 2003. I'll probably have time for more deeper investigation later. ^^;

Well, as I said, the forum is the last thing I'm worried about.  That's like the most guarenteed to work since its dependencies are all pretty self contained instead of the mammoth site that scours all sorts of directories for files.  When I'm ready to open it officially I'll use the absolute most recent forum data and then switch sites or something.

Lamp once held Tezuka at gunpoint, but at least he never tried to shove a knife in his back! Rock, you bastard!

Ah, now I'm envious. How much you pay for this package, if you don't mind me asking?

Took the yearly price of "Ultimate".

And sadly, it's not excessive.  The site current is taking 3.5GB of space.  :|

5\/\/377!

Say, whatever ever happened to that other host that was so amazingly inexpensive that it was too good to be true? I suppose it actually was? ^.^;

Oh yeah.  That was another story I know someone asked about.  About 2 weeks of uptime for 3 months payment.  I think they just recently, as in about 8 months later, have gotten themselves back together.  And this is only judging by the new customer's page now finally being back online.

The new EHDL2 has been in operation for quite some time now, and there was only one day, for only a few hours I might add, where I saw some downtime.  So HasWeb might be okay.  Hopefully it is.  This move was planned with the previous host, Zmoz, up until what was all good suddenly went very bad.  It's frustrating for me particularly because at a capped rate of 16KB/sec upstream, it takes a very long time and prone to some some problems to upload the 3.5GB site.  Plus there's other stuff on my server not worth hosting so it can't all be done in one night/etc.
