Let's think about this for thirty seconds...

Went trolling around on the EH Yahoo! group and got this response back from my man in Hawaii.

In addition to the one by Sarah Brightman, there is also one set to the Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour (which ironically I think I actually have on vinyl...)

The EVA one set to Europe's Final Countdown was the very first AMV I ever saw at Anime Central '98.  It just blew me away, though I begrudgingly admit I was a senior in high school when that song first came out.

Enjoy friends.

I checked 'em both out; they were both "okay".  The Beatles one used a lot of transition material and therefore seemed kind of slow.

The Brightman one rather innapropriately used intro segments, which move fast, on the otherwise slow song.

Neither one really had the beat and funk of a well-done and timed video like the video that first triggered my interest in El-Hazard, Habba Habba Zoot Zoot.  Best-video-ever. ;p

I found a good one yesterday.

http://www.indifferentproductions.com/AMVs/

Third one down.  Ren & Stimpy "Happy Happy Joy Joy" song.  It's just barely on-topic-- there's a clip of Jinnai and Groucho, and a Miz cameo.  But it's very very very funny.  The lip-sync is brilliant.

The Tenchi video, second one down, was very well done too.  I haven't DLed the others.

Yes, in the sync respect, it is awesome.

A shame that El-Hazard themed music vids are hard to find, though.  And those that DO exist generally disapoint me somehow.

Habba Habba Zoot Zoot, I again declare, is the best one ever.  ;p

I think the best one ever was "Dude Looks Like a Lady". It's a bunch of anime clips strung together, and from the ones I recognized theres Project A-ko, Slayers, Utena, El-Hazard *of course* and Maze. I'm sure there arew others, but I don't happen to remember. I'd link it but I don't own it anymore. It should be easy to find, it's won awards, and... well, that's all the help I can give you.

*BTW, I finally gave in and saw the videos hosted here. Habba Habba Zoot Zoot IS the best ever, but the You and Me one was really good too. Far better, than mine. "Magical Mystery Tour" Funny, but nowhere near the quality of Habba habba!*

Wow, well this message being the most recently posted on the net is oddly serendipitous.  I've just finished my own large El Hazard based Music Vid, and while it will almost certainly be a dissapointment to many of you, I would greatly appreciate your feedback if you would be so kind as to provide it.  It's titled Radio Free Bugrom, set to Blizzard's Radio Free Zerg, with footage from all of El Hazard, as well as Starcraft.

anyway, go here and enjoy... hopefully:

Actually, that was pretty freakin' awesome.  Nice to finally see some excellent high-El-Hazard base video!  What software did you use to do that with?

That music video was a biproduct of Adobe Premiere, horrible misuses of my non existant free time, and a video sampling rig held together by spit and a prayer.

Glad to hear that you liked it. I don't suppose I could convince you to place it in your Media section could I, ::big cheesy grin:: please... I'll even encode it right if someone tells me how...

just kidding of course... well mostly anyways.

Anyway, once again, I'm glad you liked it, and I thank you for taking the time to look at it.

Actually, I was going to put it in the media section anyway. :)

I can do the encoding, so no worries there...

Speaking of "Habba Habba Zoot Zoot"; Rob, I've been unable to find the "live version" that appeared in the Jinnai music vid, and only have the 2:54 version, that sounds studio recorded (and a lot less goofy than the live version).

Could you put the live version on the site for me to leech? ;D

After clearing some hard disk space, I went looking for things to fill it back up.  My apologies if these have already been posted in another topic.  They're new to me.  (Use the "DIRECT" download links.  The "LOCAL" links seem to require a password.)

"Randal Gets Drunk" by Lagwagon (who?).  27 seconds of Fujisawa silliness.
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=16583

"Only Time" by Enya (remixed).  Half EH, half Cowboy Bebop.  Not a happy video  :'(
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=9124

"Fire" by Arthur Brown.  Various anime, including Shayla (and Crayna!).  WMV format, unfortunately.
http://ftp://members.aol.com/kimba2000/MusicVideos/

"This Kiss" by Faith Hill.  Almost passed this one by, but it's very well done.  Various anime, including cameos of Shayla and Makoto.
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=5221

"Don't Let's Start" by They Might Be Giants.  No EH content-- it's a Love Hina video-- but it's They Might Be Giants, bless them.

Since you like the "Hubba Hubba Zoot Zoot" video so much, you might as well get the karaoke-version, which was made for a German convention last year. (Yep, same video only with subtitles. ^_°)

http://194.97.4.53/StudioHybrid%5BADL%5D-Karaoke-Live.zip

I've also seen quite a lot El Hazard amvs on animemusicvideos.org... but most of them are not available for downloading. ;_; (Maybe the good ones, since almost all I know are not good...)

I still got a few ones on my hdd, like: Alchemy of Love, Bugthumping (Otaku Outpost), Kindred Spirits (Sandrock Productions, only crappy rm), Plenty (Ryoma), Superman's Theme (Jonathan Backer), World of Dreams (Sandrock Productions, only crappy rm), Ifurita my Superman (Studio Fluffy)

Wow, Schlock, haven't seen you in a while! :)

And that's certainly interesting, I'll make a point to check this out at a more decent hour...
