I have found this really cool website, where you can translate your name into different species names. So for instance, El is:

Dear ***** ******,
If you were a Hobbit, your name would be Elyrka Redsmith

and if you were a (female) Man, your name would be Giwen

and if you were an Elf, your name would be Eowiodith

and if you were a Dwarf, your name would be Cilla

and if you were an Orc, your name would be Vodush

Your nearest Tavern might be called The Zoo *

and your sword would be called Glamaithil

If anyone wants their name translate me, give me your first and last name either through IM or on this page.

My names are:

Dear erica Cochrane,
If you were a Hobbit, your name would be Mycla Primstone

and if you were a (female) Man, your name would be Larewen

and if you were an Elf, your name would be Iséng

and if you were a Dwarf, your name would be Saebrylla

and if you were an Orc, your name would be Vrogar

Your nearest Tavern might be called The Wizard's Tower

and your sword would be called Pelthaas

*it would only be the zoo if you didn't know where your nearest Pub/bar was.

Why don't you just give 'em the link?

And you can tell everyone my name, I don't really care.

You can also do that at www.barrowdowns.com

Oh, and our nearest pub is The Hag.

Bilbo? That's surprising!  :o
I wouldn't think the the male hobbit version of my name would be bilbo.

I took the personality test  on Barrow downs and here are my answers:

Based on your answers, you are most like
Legolas

You were also very much like
Barliman Butterbur
Gandalf

And my location in middle earth was most likely to be:

Based on your answers, you should settle in
Lothlorien
It is the location that meets most of your preferences.

You would also probably like to live in
Rivendell
Mirkwood

Heh. Cute. According to the Barrowdowns site, I used to be a Laughing Dragon.

My root elven name is Aduaran (lotta a's in that - guess it's not surprising, given my real name...)

Another masculine version is Aduaranion, and a few feminine versions are Aduaraniel, Aduaranien, and Aduaranwen.

My Hobbit name is Hob Burrows from Oatbarton.

My Dwarven name is Farin Bloodyarm.

And my Orcish name is Nazrukh the Gouger.

Maybe I should use one of these names for my RPG character. ;D

Both genders?  Call me a sexist, but I have a hard time thinking of anything female as a 'Despoiler'.

I think that all orcs are male, or at least both sexes.
See, they all look male (okay, that was mean).
