El-Hazard Online / Re: Alternative World Episode 13 Rant

Leaving the first episode moment completely unattached to the rest of the story?

Well, I guess you're right. And it would make no sense to leave it hanging like that. (Personally, I'd like to see some of the new Bugrom that Jinnai is *responsible for* Maybe he will treat these particular Bugrom better if he is, in some way, related to them?)

And I'm not the only one, to quote a few text bits from the infamous Jinnai / Shayla story (after Jinnai is lost in a cave-in):

(Actually, I just got finished reading that story, and it was really good. Thank you Rob)

However, nothing in that scene indicates that the moment was happening right along with the whole Arliman thing.  That could very well be a "Well, when Jinnai got back, THIS happened" display.  Or you never know, maybe Jinnai's been bitching about it for several days now.

On that topic, I'd like to point out that when Jinnai was sent to the Alternative World, he was in Makoto's House or room, whatever. And supposedly, they all came back to the very exact place they were when they got transported. So obviously, some time has passed. I agree with Kathy's point ,

I bet Jinnai has been bitching about it for several days... The way he mulls over Makoto one-upping him all the time, he acts like things that happened 2 years ago happened today...

since yes, Jinnai does have a tendancy to do that.

I was also annoyed with Qawool. Yes, she's butt naked, and yes, she's too stupid to know better (geez, don't they teach you things like this in Priestess school?) But if she doesn't know enough to know that you don't bathe with boys and you let boys hug you and stuff when your naked, how come she screamed when Fatora tried to molest her???

AND WHAT ABOUT JINNAI AND DIVA!!!??? That last episode, when Diva has her way with him, well, I think that could have been left out completly. After all, in the first OAV, after Ifurita's conquering everything, and Diva's getting Jinnai drunk, (and you KNOW that it's not because they ran out of apple juice), you can pretty much assume what's going on. But NOW Jinnai's playing at the "Oh my God I never realized Diva wanted that!" ploy. Is this strange, or have I just not been gatting some importaint info? (Perhaps in the OAV 2 which I never saw???)

*End of Rant*

Ah, Haruka and Michiru! *GLEAM* Perhaps the best damn example of GOOD CLEAN shoujo-ai in anime! I was a big fan back when I first learned that they really weren't "cousins" GRR!! DIC makes me so mad!!! Anyways, they are a beautiful couple, if only they both had a SINGLE character flaw *other than having none at all* :)
But enough of that. This is El-Hazard online, not Sailor Moon online.  :P

You also have a good point on Ura. I personally can't tell much about that, I *shamefully* saw every tape but the last one.  :'( I know how it ends but I wanna SEE it!

I also like the Allielle-Nanami couple in Wanderers!  ;D Enough said!

*BTW: it's okay dooky, don't let them call you feminene! You sound very much like a man to me!

I had Fatora as a desktop wallpaper thing for a while, and then late one night past the point of where your brain is still stable, she was looking real good to me.  (Due to various events and akward employment, I've been out of the dating circle for over a year now, and I'm getting real ...

... yeah)

That's pretty understandable. I've been in WV for a few months, and I've totally given up on meeting someone here.  :P At this point, I'd even date a guy like Makoto  ;). Or Fatora.  ;D

But actually, after that, me and Neil discussed how Fatora and Jinnai are some of the most entertaining characters due simply to their absolute worst traits that SHOULD be taken negatively.  :p

YES! My point exactly! Jinnai would be boring as hell if he just followed Makoto around with a clipboard like Rainman!  ;) And the same reasoning for Fatora. She adds comic relif to the Alternative World, (Where otherwise there would be nothing but super-vapid-Qawooliness). My only complaint is that El-Hazard portrays lesbians like a bunch of sex-hungry letchers...

Shortly after I had started at the local college here, they were having an election for a new student council president.  I actually half-concidered what it'd be like to run with a Jinnai persona, or at the very least distribute Jinnai advertising as if Jinnai WERE running for president there...

Good idea! I'm starting Musselman's very first Anime Club with my sis, and maybe he'll be our poster child...

Oh, well, if we're all introducing ourselves here, I might as well just get involved...

Name: Rachel Ketner (call me Filia (what my anime friends call me) or Rachie (what my family calls me), just don't call me anything mean  :'( )

Age: 17 (and still no drivers liscense. I'm ashamed!)

Sex: Female

Location: I just moved to WV, wich is bad: because I'm still adjusting to cultural shock, and which is good: because I'm closer to DC, where they have *2* anime conventions!!!  ;D

Hobbies and Intrests: Well, I'll be blunt and vapid and say that the opposite sex takes up a good 95% of my free time... and since I'm bisexual I don't have ANY freetime!  :P Other than that, I'm currently working on an RPG Maker version of El-Hazard, one of my own. So far, nothing's happening, and all I've gotten done is to make a chibi Jinnai from a chibi Kefka.  ;D KAWAII!!!!! And, uh, a Makoto too, but I hate him...

Fav MOvie: Grave Of The Fireflies. It made me cry more than any other movies, including Schindlers List! and it's anime!

Anime I've seen, Slayers, Everything ever made By Hayao Miazaki, Rayearth, El-hazard(except for that second OAV, I have it, and it's in storage  :'( ) Magic Users Club, LA Blue Girl, Salior Moon, DragonBall (doesn't count) Pokemon (we all had to start somewhere...) Yu Yu Hakushou, Haunted Junction, and... Oh well, I've seen a bunch, and collected a lot of manga too.

Religion: Well, I'm kind of undecided...

How I found El-Hazard online: By accident. I was looking for a different El-Hazard site, and it wasn't there, and this cute little page came up with a million little pics of Jinnai on it and it laughed at me. So I went here and fell in love with it!

Misc: If Jinnai were running for MY student council, I'D vote for em!  ;D He's the reason I watch El-Hazard! I'm also hoping to meet someone who is willing to help me out on my RPG, if you're interested, e-mail me!!! Please!!! *needs help*

Wow, I'd like to read the fan-fic that got Mr. Rob Jinnai so hyped on Shayla and Jinnai!  ;D Of course, they were a good couple to begin with, When I first started watching El-Hazard (I had to go through the tragedy of watching Alternative World before the Ova's) I thought that they were incinuating that they were in love!  :)

(Oh, and BTW Jinnai, the doujin's are really ecchi, so you might want to up the rating of your site or something before you go putting them on. They'll make small children cry.  :'( And also, my scanner is in a dirty old box in a storage shed, so you'll have to wait a bit.  :-/)

I have PLENTY of toher stuff I can donate though, like the cards *not playing cards, Ani-Mayhem cards and collectors edition stuff*

Now Shayla and Jinnai could work, but Arujah... well, he should never reproduce... Ifurita and Makoto are overdone. Personally,. I'd like to see Makoto het together with that sexy beast Schtalubaugh!!!  ;) Either that, or Makoto die or a strange and horrible disease and let all of the girls become lesbians! Who don't like Fatora!!! HAHAHA!!! THe irony!!!

Well, if I had to give Makoto someone, it would not be Ifurita. Ifurita is too good for him, and Shayla would be too jealous! I think he should be with Nanami, simply for the fact they grew up together and because it would be sooo amusing to see poor Jinnai get his arch-rival for a brother-in-law!  ;D

El-Hazard Online / El-Hazard- The Magnificent Couples?

Hey, I'm a new member, and I'd just like to open up a new topic to a question that has been plauging me for some time.

As a former Slayers fan, I have heard of the weirdest couples imaginable. However, even in El-Hazard Doujinshi's, I wasn't able to find any really creative ones (except for Shayla and Afura). The enitre Doujinshi writers collective seems to like the Allielle/Fatora getting all the women leading up to a big orgy thing (Gag, those two are the reason lesbianism has a bad name! :P). Personally, I think we can do better. So, if you have any really wierd, cute, of completly disfunctional couples out there, I'd like to hear it!

I think I would like to start out by saying that Jinnai and blck haired Ifurita would make a neat couple...

And did anyone think Jinnai and Shayla Shayla were being paired up in Alternative World? (ahem, aside from the fact Shayla roasted him and Jinnai has tried to kill her numerous times... (Ah, if only Jerry Springer could get ahold of them! ;D)

My sister has also suggested that Jinnai and Makoto would make a neat couple... But I think that's just... No.
