If you're referring to the song played in episode four when Ifurita #2 is reflecting on Yuba, it is called "Kioku" and was sung by Maria Kawamura. It is available on CD, but only as part of the 6-cd box set mention in the previous post.

Shayla:  So do we ave a deal?  I'll keep Mizuhara out of your hair if you kill the rest of the female cast members.

Jinnai:  Even my baby sister?

Shayla:  ESPECIALLY Nanami!!

Jinnai: *to himself*  Kill my annoying little sister?  Do I dare live out the teenage male dream?

Jinnai: What the...?!  Bush declared war on ME?!?  Is he bored with the axis of evil on his own planet already?!

Katsuo: *mumble mumble*
(Translation: Don't worry sir, Michael Moore is already blasting him for it at swanky award shows)

Ifurita: Dammit, how many times do I have to tell you?!  It's "twirl, pivot, step, pivot, step, step, pivot, twirl", NOT "Pivot, step, twirl, pivot, pivot twirl, step!"

Ifurita, didn't want to Interrupt Jinnai's 4-hour address to the Bugrom nation, so all she could do was stare at his open fly...

Your screenshot collection is exhaustive, and it's great to simply look over it.

"Exhaustive" is the word for it  ^^;  This site has a lot of context for me as well; I started it relatively young with an inappropriate view of what makes a website good.  I was basically under the impression of "more is better", and figured when a website just posted 1-3 screenshots of an episode, it just wasn't presenting the truth of it.  But I have more than enough that you could turn it into a comic strip!  But I guess "more is better" wasn't always wrong; it did produce a large portion of the content of this site!

A funny memory is that when I was just getting started, I went around to other El-Hazard websites and asked if they would care to merge with me (if I thought they had something in particular with merging.)  I was even interested in character shrines at the time... figure a shrine-per-character would be of interesting value.  But alas, none of them responded to me... only one El-Hazard site ever did, one I really hoped would join with me, and that was of course the one this template is known for.  Looks like I won in the end.  :)

Just the lack of joining me made it an unofficial rivalry; quite appropriately like Makoto vs. Jinnai, where Jinnai claims crimes perpetrated by Makoto, who Makoto is oblivious to.  So I tried my best to provide content that they didn't have, hopefully content that would make my site the greater draw.  I suppose that worked for a while.  But I'm really glad they offered up their work at the end of Geocities.  And I mean it in a very mature, non-gloating way; they did some solid work, and they are truly the most appropriate merge for a site that wants to know-it-all.

Weeeelllll...

I wouldn't say completely oblivious.  I must admit, there may have been twinges of jealousy at the ability to provide some of of the content that you could.  ^_^

Honestly, you say that you're glad that we offered up the content, but really, I'm very grateful that you thought it was worth saving.  It really made a grizzled old otaku's shriveled heart glow.  \m/ ^.^ \m/

Honestly, it was just bad timing when it came to hooking up back then. I was already committed to launching the page and had done so much foundation work on it already. that it didn't feel right to jump tracks at that moment. If you would've hit me up a year earlier before I began or a year later after it launched, I probably would've joined forces.    ^^; Sorry for making ya wait so long.  ^^;

In any case. Here's to another 15 years.  May Karou Taures be remembered as only a bad dream.  ^_^V

It's not an artbook and unless you must own every single scrap of El-Hazard merchandise, it's nto even worth owning.

It's book #3 of a a three book set of what could be called "tele-Manga."

Basically all they did was cut, crop, and paste a bunch of screen shots from the 1st OVA and added word balloons.  -_-

Damn, am I being a buzzkill these days?

Yeah... when I first saw Makoto's site's image, I hadn't obtained Etranger yet.  So, simply put, the image mentally blurred into making me think I had seen "someone" holding the cat, as in, someone not related to the EH creation cast.

As such, I am now 100% sure, until evidence of otherwise surfaces, that this plush has only one in existance and it was toyed with by the creation crew.  Hell, maybe one of them even crafted it.    I'll bet you Etranger holds the answers.

He resurfaces again...

Actually, according to Hitoshi Doi, during the run of the late-night El-Hazard Radio Show, Tetsuya and Etsuko (Makoto and Alielle) talked about how the dolls were on sale.

http://www.usagi.org/~doi/seiyuu/radio/elhazard/19960531.html

My guess is that it was an extremely small production run and there just weren't that many out there.   -_-

Oh well, all a devoted fan can do is keep an eye out and hope one day that one of those plushies shows up on this side, be it eBay or some dealer or whatever...

And on that day, I'm sure there will be much bloodshed as prolly 4-8 people scramble to outbid/buy it before anyone else...

I have a custom Ura vest though that a cosplaying friend sold to me when he was done with it. (Actually, it came it handy during winter cons because that thing was warm and comfortable as hell.) (it also made Kazuto Nakazawa do a double take which was priceless.)

I'm glad to see that people do visit my page...

(that's me in the bloody pyramid-head outfit)

Also cool... but, if you don't mind my asking, who are you supposed to be? I don't recognize that particular character. I think I'd remember a guy with a pyramid head and a huge sword...

Dude!  That reeks of Awesomeniminessitudiosity!  Someone else who appreciates the awesomeness of Silent Hill!

That is inspired!  I have been wanting to do that one myself, but never found the time.

Still, that is sweet.  Kudos on that one.

mokoto: *sigh* I guess I just turn around at the wrong moment. I go to about 5 or 6 cons a year, only one of them being a small one. do you have any pics of the other cosplayers? i only got a couple from scavenging the web.

Yeah I have a lot, but they really need rescanned because I scanned them poorly a long while back when my computer skillz were not as mad.

However, the biggest archive of cosplay photography has to be Kivin Lilliard's page at http://www.fansview.com

Seriously, there are tons of El-Hazard cosplayers to be found there.  Best place to start would be between 1998 - 2000 when the most people were doing  that series.

Yep, yep.

As for cons, I pretty much have cut my number to about 1, maybe 2 a year and then only smaller cons like Ikasucon, Ohayocon, Sugoicon, etc.  I only did one this year and that was mainly to see some old friends and help them out.

*rubs eyes* O.O
*makes wierd motion with fist* YES!!! Fellow EH Cosplayers! *happy dance*

Im currently working on a cross-dressing Makoto costume. Im also working on nightmare, alucard, Jenova, Seita, and Dart costumes. So it ain't gonna be done till about Otakon. Sadly, In my 15 yrs of cosplaying, i've never seen an EH cosplayer

*looks up at MM's post* Oh it's you! You did the, uh, Magnificent Music site right?

That I did and that be who I am. I think.

Never, in 15 years?

Damn, either you have been to very, very small cons, or you've been turning around at all the wrong moments.

Geez, just from the group of my friends who've done El-Hazard cosplay at multiple cons I can count on 2 hands...

Lessee... 3 Makotos, a Jinnai, a Shayla, an Alliele, a Nanami, A Fatora, An Ifurita, 2 Fujisawas...

Now, if I were to count every El-Hazard cosplay from just random people I saw over the last 7 years... hmmm...

No, sorry, too many.  ^^;
