Heheh, I've seen that site before. I do find it cheezy to randomly mix Japanese and English, but I won't kill anyone for doing it anyway. :P

I randomly throw japanese words or phrases into online chat/posts sometimes, if it's relevant or funny and I know the other person knows what I'm talking about. But some people go overboard. Fortunately, I don't know anybody like that personally. ^^;
-
I'm unknowest to most Japanese words, as far as I go, basic first four numbers, baka and Hentai.
-
I know abousolutly no Japonise word what so ever so teling me what your actually saying would be great! ???Thanks! ;)
-
She can't even spell Japanese, guess she's telling the truth.

Yipes. Now that site is SCARY.
-
See told ya!

-
BRPXQZME was not talking about you Stix, he was talking about the webpage.
And we were talking about how scary that web page was/is.
-
I realise that now! :D It is scary isnt it.
-
Erm...yes. Terrifying!!!! *Lar runs screaming for her life. then she wakes up, seeing the scary Hello! Kitties at the end of her bed, literally gets up and runs*

Sono peeji wa kowai da :'(

Can Mr What stop speaking in Japanese? Not all of us know it. ;)
-
Yes, but I think the ":'(" is quite universal.
-

Yes, he can. But, I can't. Doshita, Lar-chan? Wakara nai desu? OK, I can't speak Japanese either. ^^;
-
Interesting...
Help everyone's talking in Japanese!!!
-

Watashi mo hontouni nihongo o shiranai kara sore wa daijoubu da. (That's OK, because I don't really know Japanese either.) Or something like that...
Just to be even more annoying, let's see if YaBB supports Japanese character encoding. (Of course, none of these will work unless you're weird enough to install Japanese text support for your browser, like me.)
JIS encoding: $BF|K\8l(J
EUC encoding: ÆüËܸì
Unicode: 日本語
Weird. None of them work in the preview, but Unicode does work in the box where you type the message, after a first preview. Let's see if any of them work in a posted message.
EDIT: Nope :'(

Yeah, sorry, this thing is so loaded with filters. I probably should strip some of them. Just everyone promise they won't start embedding circumventing HTML tags. :P

You mean like uploading your entire webpage to a thread? I mean uh........ ;D

If you guys could see my expression right now...

Dang, there goes the whole plan!
I mean...
Of course not...

Sorry Lar. I couldn't resist ;D

It might be handy to be able to post Unicode character entity references for single Japanese characters, in an ampersand-pound sign-number-semicolon format, for discussing translations and such. That's how I'm embedding kanji in HTML pages for those translations I've been vaguely promising for months on end now (http://echoalpha.com/smileys/sweatdrop.gif)
But if that isn't simple to do, don't hack into your YaBB installation on my account. Like I said, I was mostly just trying to be annoying :P
-
Interestingk. Your plan seems to be working very vell...damn queen!!!! *Lar continues to play chess, online, with a computer, and looses very badly, okay, stalemate, but that doesn't count*
-

Actually, I don't really know off-hand, but I'll bet it really isn't an incredible trick if nothing else to invent some type of YaBB tag code for it.
Oh, and I really like that animated sweat drop emoti'. Even though I probably should try to find a way to make a set of replacement 15x15 graphics related to El-Hazard for the emoti set, is it okay if I adopt yours as a functional part of the board?
-
Well, I think if we got some more smilies it would be really cool! ;D we only have sixteen right now.

I borrowed that one, and a few others, from Jason's Smileys (http://www.jms101.btinternet.co.uk/). He's the guy that made the YaBB SP1 basic set of smileys (http://www.jms101.btinternet.co.uk/basic_sets/special/YaBB_SP1/), and he's got a huge extended set of smileys (http://www.jms101.btinternet.co.uk/full_sets/gold/circular_bold_std/) in the same "gold circular bold" style.
I copied my favorites to echoalpha.com, but it might be better to link to GIF images stored on your site, even if they don't get smiley codes.
My other favorites from the extended set:

Interesting...new smilies!!! (not really, but they would be cool! ;D
-
We have completley gone off topic! I think we need new smilies too! Those ones are great though.
-
Yeah, they are.
The website El posted a link to on the first page was reallly scary!!! :o
-
I really like these:

Yes...umm...wait a minute...we are going around in a vicious circle ahhhhh! *Pixie suddenly runs away screaming in fear*
-
ARGH!!! Vicious circles!!! *runs away!*
-
Gack! That was rather horrifying. *shivers*
I don't mind a certain amount of japanese, as long as they know what they're saying, but an assortment of misused words picked up at random is just scary.
On the flip side, though, I defy anyone to name an anime that doesn't contain at least one bizarrely misused English word or phrase. I no longer lend anyone my Blue Seed collection without a warning, because the next person who asks me what exactly the phrase "pick me up foxy night game" implies is going to get the box set shoved down their throat. ;D
-
Lol!
My mother, whenever we're watching a subtitled movie in Malay or Cantonese, always says: "That's not what they're really saying!"
-
I know that she does. But parents say alot of stuff. I don't listen to most of what mine have to say cause most of it is...
-
It's a knock on effect. You don't listen to them and we don't listen to you! ;D

LOL! Takada Band rules! ;D

That's actually a parody site by a friend of mine, Zhan D'vega (who Rob knows as well). "XD" I find it hilarious.
