You're using AOL?
And what players are you using? RealOne?

And it hasn't worked on any of them?

Does AOL have a virus filter?
*Uses Internet Explorer*

And it doesn't work on QuickTime? Woah...  :o

Hhmm... Is it possible that it wasn't downloaded properly?

I don't know this GetRight you speak of.

Hhhmm. Maybe, you should search through your "My Music" folder (or equivilent) and then delete the MP3 file and download again.

This might solve your problem, but I'm not very familiar with AOL or GetRight, so I can't help you any further...

Good luck!

Yeah, could be a lot of things.  I also encoded some MP3's as VBR (Variable Bit Rate) per Neil's request, but all that ever seemed to do was cause length reading innaccuracies and larger file sizes.  Then he tells me I did it wrong.  ;p

The best recommendation is definately to try to download it again, and you may have to empty your internet cache (which I have no idea how to do, even though I'm an ex-AOL user.)

Btw, GetRight is a download manager, it's particularly helpful to modem users as it can resume failed downloads if you're disconnected.  I have NOT tested much for GetRight compatability in my operations, so I make no guarentees about it.

Alielle, what operating system are you using?

I think GetRight is Windows only, so it has to be the 9x+ breed :p

You could just ask her personally; if by no other method, use the Private Messages.  :p

*Frown*

I've never heard of this GetRight.

And I'm a Windows user. Windows Xp. *Frown*

You could always get rid of it and play it with Windows Media Player or QuickTime, those work for me.  ;)  :P

Again: scrapping and starting over seems like a good option.

Question: Is your computer a brick with a mouse stuck on it? Or is it an amazing block of metal that respondonses to your thoughts?

Oh and Lar, when you live with two computer freaks and you have to navigate around with this brick, you learn a few tricks!  ;)

mp3s are supposed to play even if chopped (i mean, incompletely downloaded). :o

Use Go!zilla to leech what you need from the web. You gotta get the earlier versions though, like 2.9, so that you wouldn't have to bother with the Gator program ( spy software!) it comes with. Or you could go DAP if you want.

If all else fails, get camstudio 1.8 (another free and opensource program! Your solution to save streamed audio and/or video) and capture the audio while listening to the streamed audio.

Well...if it doesn't work you could always try downloading it off of something else.
